Lead-acid batteries, as mature and reliable energy storage technologies, continue to play a significant role in the new energy sector. Combined with a unique gas recombination system, the self-discharge rate is 20% lower than that of AGM batteries. Its outstanding deep cycle performance makes it an ideal choice for long-term float charging applications such as solar energy storage and communication base stations. Both technical approaches have their own advantages: AGM batteries are known for their high power density and low-temperature starting performance, while gel batteries excel in cycle life and high-temperature stability. With the continuous iteration of lead-acid battery technology, the fiber diameter of AGM separators has exceeded the 1-micron level, and the thixotropic performance regulation accuracy of colloid electrolytes has reached 0.1Pa·s, driving lead-acid batteries to regain new vitality in emerging fields such as new energy storage and peak shaving in smart grids.
